Chagrin Mines - Layout 1

As you will have read, MOMING'05 was a resounding success but I wasn't able to the take the layout I originally wanted to because I didn't leave myself time to build it! Instead, Plan B was put into operation and I submitted a scenic circular test track which ran very well all day.

The basis of the layout was a cheap chipboard occasional table purchased for £4.99 from Linens Direct in Redhill. It has a top of 22" diameter onto which a circle of Peco 0n30 flextrack was laid. Rail joints were soldered for additional strength as the radius was nominally 9" and therefore quite tight.

Chagrin Mine 1 in its entirety

As I was daft enough to leave my camera at home on the day and therefore missed out on the opportunity to take lots of pictures of the excellent layouts in attendance, I took these ones later, at home. You can see more on the MOMING'05 page.
